Each word and sentence was actually signed off on several times and typed by both of us. As a result, no single page of the book can be said to have been written by Chris or by Eva.

This is different from every other book with co-authors that we're aware of -- usually, chapters are divided between authors and the reader may notice a change in voice at some point in the book. Not here.

Even the screenshots were shot by both of us. You may notice that all of the odd numbered screenshots were done on a Mac by Chris and the even numbered ones were done using Windows by Eva. I am new to coding, and so I know there is much I have to learn, but from the first exercise in this book I was disappointed. The very first code they have you write a code to count to ten. I spent an hour and half going every piece of it, and I could not get it to work. I tried it in different code editors, I typed and retyped and retyped and retyped line by line; character by character.

At the end of the hour and a half, my typed code was identical, character to character, with what they write as an example, and it never worked.

After a week of trying this, going through several examples, typing my code exactly as it is written in this book, has resulted in a different result from what they show and claim I should be getting. Along with this, I have noted several typos which I chalked up to simple editing mistakes, however this is becoming inexcusable coupled with my code results differing so greatly from what they claim I should be getting.

Not the best for a beginner.
